Great Lakes Grill in Cheboygan

Had the best shrimp dinner with friends tonight at GLG!! Mmmmm, the food was excellent and Our service was speedy and efficient. Sherri & staff always make it a priority to make sure you feel welcome and happy with your meal!!

Very good steaks, salads, homemade chippers as one of the many choices of potato. Love the French onion soup! Nice variety of foods on their menu. Full bar. Excellent waitresses and attentive owner.

Good food good price and great service. We really enjoyed eating there. We are from Florida and met friends for dinner and our waitress really did a good job taking care of us.

Nikki, the owners daughter, waited on us. The coffee was real good. The atmosphere was quite chic. My Patty Melt was medium and melt in your mouth. My wife had the grilled whitefish perfectly prepared. Our White Caps appetizer was great, a must have. We were so stuffed we had to pass on dessert. It's a must stop lunch and dinner restaurant for all walks of life.

We were from outta town and were welcomed. Everything was fantastic. Best fries I've ever had. We would love to come back next year.

they have very good food and also very friendly willing to help and talk but needs to put a price menu on the website not just pictures but just had there prime rib was not cooked my way they said they only cook one way,well for me that's not cooked right....was under cooked.one way no should be the way the way the customer likes it i will not get there prime rib

Very happy with our meal. Coleslaw was very tangy and horse radish strong, but I really liked it. Cod and fries were delicious. Staff was very friendly. Service was great.2019 update. Had to drop a star from our first visit. Granted, it was very busy July 4/5 weekend, but we waited a very long time for our meal, and it was very cold when we got it. Our server was not very attentive this time.

Been there numerous times service is always great but food is always inconsistent. Fries are the best around. Steak was border line rare, dry, cold with no flavor.

Not a fan. Ive tried several times and have only had one good meal. Its a roomy/homey atmosphere.

Good service. . Had fish and chips. Always a good choiceAfter posting this we went back. We waited twenty minutes just to order. After an hour we finally got our meals...cold. they made it right on the bill. But the meal was disappointing. Chicken sandwich filet was a frozen piece and not even lukewarm.

The food and service at this great restaurant is excellent in every sense of the word. The staff and owner are wonderful people who produce delicious food and great service. We'll be back again and highly recommend it to everyone!!

Liver was good. CID was barely warm as was the potato. The stuffed mushrooms were real nice.

Very good. Freshly broiled cod served with a salad and baked potato. All delicious and value priced!

I was in town for business and decided to stop in for lunch. They seemed busy for a Friday lunch but the service was still fast. I orded the Great Lakes sandwich and the order was ready in about 7 minutes. The sandwich was crispy but still melt in your mouth delicious. The whitefish was cooked perfectly. Everything was amazing and I will definitely be returning next time I'm in Cheboygan.

We eat here every time we are in Cheboygan and the food is always delicious. Had the homemade carrot cake on New Year's eve! Going back again tonight.

I love the Great Lakes Grill! It's where I went to dinner for the first time with my now husband. My girls love all the staff and they are very accommodating. Plus now they have WiFi!

Wonderful place to eat and relax! They introduced me to a lovely new wine! Love LOVE THIS PLACE! IT'S A GREAT SPOT FOR A DATE for all you young adults out there or anyone for that matter. 🖤

Always consistently good food..staff is top notch and homemade desserts are off the charts. Prices are very reasonable with decent sized portions. Love seeing Sheri and Amy.

Great Lakes Grill is my favourite place in the Cheboygan area! The service is always great, the food is fantastic! The owners, Sheri and Dave, are very involved, and insure positive dining experiences to their guests. I always buy gift certificates for my parents, as this is also their favourite place!

Great service! The lake perch was excellent.

Heather was our waitress and what seemed to be the only one on Tuesday afternoon running the entire place. She had allot on her plate being very busy but was very attentive to all of us. Food was AMAZING! We was stuffed. Restaurant is cute and cozy. It could use some updates (new tables & chairs) but other than that nice place for first impression. Thanks Heather you were great.

What a hidden gem!! It feels like an "upscale" family dinner. From the stained glass lamps and fireplace to the ships wheel and nautical decor this place is classy but comfortable. Excellent food quality and the price is very reasonable. The service is fantastic!! Super friendly. Regulars get treated like old friends. The specials are always unique and tasty.

We stopped in on Friday late afternoon for a quick bite. Sherri was delightful and offered friendly service. The White Caps appetizer was yummy with fresh tasting shrimp and perfectly toasted points. It was an added bonus that the whipped cream on my coffee drink was homeade! We highly recommend the Great Lakes Grill for fresh fare and excellent customer service!

Cozy Bar & Grill. We went here because nothing else was open in Cheboygan. Had the potato encrusted Michigan whitefish w/ salad & loaded baked potato. Wife had grilled bone in pork chop, w/ salad & steak fries. Appetizer was the shrimp stuffed cheesy mushroom caps. They came with garlic bread & were awesome. Great meal & friendly service. Full bar. Solid 4 stars.

It was really awesome food! Had the all you can eat fish. Came with choice of potato and salad all for a great price. Fish pieces were almost as long as my arm. Couldnt believe it. Serve was kayla I believe and she was very nice and ontop of her game! Good atmosphere, very cozy. We will definitely be back. Maybe make it a once a week thing :)

A nice surprise. Highly recommended by the locals for great comfort food in larger portions. It did not disappoint. So pleased to add it to our Cheboygan's must do/see/visit each time we are on the area. Staff So attentive and pleasant. Stop in!

Good food; a little slow getting it though. Had three other tables come in after we placed order, but food was out to us after theirs.
